OUR STORY

A Mother's Hands. A Skincare Journey

I never set out to start a skincare brand. I was just a mom, searching for something I could trust—something safe enough for my babies, nourishing enough for my own skin, and simple enough to believe in.

I remember standing in the skincare aisle, flipping over bottle after bottle, reading ingredient lists filled with things I couldn’t pronounce. Even the so-called “natural” products were packed with preservatives, fillers, and synthetics. I didn’t want complicated. I wanted real.

So I went back to the way things used to be done—before chemicals, before mass production, before beauty became an industry instead of a tradition. I started making my own skincare, the way women had done for generations. Tallow. Herbs. Oils. Ingredients that had stood the test of time.

In my Maine kitchen, with my hands, my heart, and my children by my side, I made my first batch of tallow balm. I didn’t know it then, but Fat & Field was born.

Fat & Field isn’t just about skincare. It’s about care. The kind that passes from one hand to another, from mother to child, from field to jar. It’s for the woman who reads labels because she cares what touches her skin. The mom who soothes chapped cheeks on a cold morning. The person craving something real in a world of overcomplication.

Because the best skincare isn’t made in factories. It’s made by hands that care.

Welcome to Fat & Field. From my family to yours.
